june 7 2002 blackfilm.com reviews film bad company
Bad Company is a fun-watching movie that doesn’t work because the chemistry between the two leads is so distant.
It seems that Hollywood believes that a film can be made into a hit if there were enough elements to bring in different types of crowds.
As in most Bruckheimer films, there is plenty of action filled scenes to overcome the lame script.

Bad Company (2002) When a government agent is killed in duty, they pick up his ignorant twin brother to finish the job.
It's about a man with a dream; a dream to start a cab company in the heart of Washington D.C. just another movie on the long list of silly 80’s comedies that targeted adults, but is more interesting to kids.
Overall, he’s had a very respectable career that shouldn’t be forgotten because of a few bad apples.

Studio shoots down ‘Phone Booth’ - Columbia Chronicle Online - October 28, 2002
Another film deferred in the aftermath of last fall’s attacks was the Joel Schumacher release Bad Company, in which a duo of U.S. agents (Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins) are faced with keeping a nuclear bomb out of the hands of terrorists in New York City.
That’s the same case for films delayed after Sept. 11 and this month’s sniper: Nuclear warheads on planes and gunmen bent on killing the innocuous are simply in bad taste in general, according to Shary.
Elsewhere in the film industry, the effects of the sniper in Washington D.C. are muted.

Bad Company (movie) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bad Company is also a Touchstone Home Entertainment film directed by Joel Schumacher and released in 2002.
The film has been decried as misogynistic for its callous brutality towards women, but the main point of contention among viewers is whether or not its stylish yet totally soulless attitude is a good thing or a bad thing.

 SacTicket // Movie News
Some films are held back because of the bad timing involved (such as "Big Trouble," "Bad Company" and "Collateral Damage," all of which contained elements that related them directly to the Sept. 11 tragedy), while other films are delayed because they are simply bad ("The Adventures of Pluto Nash").
But, as the filming went on and on, the movie's release was changed to July 2002.
Movie history is spotted with titles that went before the cameras with high expectations, only to become mired in expensive delays and the kind of sensational, negative company-town buzz and gossip that always seem to attend such situations.

Daniels (who also wrote the film) plays Fred Barlow, a salesman for Super Sucker, a vacuum cleaner company he has adored all his life.
Super Sucker won the Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2002 US Comedy Arts Festival, which leads me to believe that 2002 was not a very funny year.
This is juvenile stuff (not a bad thing) and Super Sucker makes no bones about its meaning or pedigree (also not a bad thing), but there are only so many times you can watch a woman masturbate with a vacuum cleaner before the humor gets flat.

Disney Movie Classics :: Nowhere in Africa (German with English Subtitles)
Comment: You can judge a film by the company it keeps, and amazon's always spot-on recommending technology tells me that fans of 'Nowhere in Africa' are also interested in the following current releases: Hotel Rwanda; A Very Long Engagement; Bad Education; and Million Dollar Baby.
Since I've seen and am enthusiatic about each of those, I'd like to suggest that fans of any of those films check out 'Nowhere in Africa,' which is richly deserving of its 2002 Academy Award for best foreign language film.
What I got out of the movie has nothing to do with being Jewish, Nazism or Africa--there is a whole other dimension to the film that has deeply affected me, even if one could have theoretically removed all those elements.

Further, the renovations that XPW had outlined as a reason they were not to be running for the next two months included plans for storage areas for the adult film company, Extreme Associates.
From the beginning, XPW attempted to position itself as the proverbial 900 pound bad-ass gorilla with lots of money; that would (in the words of Shane Douglas) outdraw the "bottom feeders" that supposedly populated Philadelphia's independent wrestling scene.
This continued the XPW tradition of not delivering what was promised, as seen in detail in my August 18, 2002 AS I SEE IT column found here.

Boston.com / Business / Caterpillar, Disney settle trademark suit
The lawsuit also maintained that the movie could cast Caterpillar in a bad light among young viewers, harming a children's product line that reported sales of $850 million in 2002.
The Peoria, Ill.-based manufacturer filed the lawsuit last fall, alleging that the live-animated sequel "George of the Jungle 2" tarnished Caterpillar's reputation because its trademark yellow earth-moving equipment is linked to the film's villains.
Scenes that show an "evil attacking army" using Caterpillar bulldozers to attack George's jungle home leave a wrong impression about the company's environmental views, the lawsuit alleged.
