Egg (person) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thus, an egg can be described as "white on the outside, yellow on the inside".
A good or bad egg is also an English slang expression for describing someone as good or bad.
It is thought to be merely a literal inversion of "bad egg".

 EGGS
Eggs are an excellent nutrient-dense food that packs six grams of protein, a bit of vitamin B-12, vitamin E, riboflavin, folic acid, calcium, zinc, iron, and essential fatty acids into a mere 75 calories.
We've often heard or read that eggs are bad for the heart because they contain a lot of cholesterol.
Studies comparing eggs from the average hen-laying factory with those of free-range chickens fed diets high in essential fatty acids showed the chicken on a healthier diet produced eggs higher in the heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

U.S. Scrambles to Ensure Egg Safety / But critics say plan to eradicate Salmonella strain is an overreaction   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-03)
The president's policy and the rush to pasteurize eggs are really about the politics of food safety, said Hans Reimann, a recently retired UC Davis professor and one of the nation's top authorities on egg-related safety and epidemiology.
These are expensive propositions that involve either breaking the eggs and pasteurizing them as a liquid for large-scale food-service use or using a new and largely unproven technology that would pasteurize them in the shell.
But until either all eggs are pasteurized -- the nation's first mass- market brand is due to hit Northern California groceries later this year -- or farmers figure out how to keep Salmonella enteritidis out of their product, consumers will have to decide just how much of a risk under- cooked eggs are.

 Re: Eggs - The bad.
Eggs not only raise the level of LDL-cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol), new research shows that they also increase the oxidizability of LDL-cholesterol, which makes LDL-chosetesrol even more damaging.
Consumption of eggs with meals increases the susceptibility of human plasma and low-density lipoprotein to lipid peroxidation.
Consumption of eggs for a long period was shown to result in hypercholesterolemia and is generally restricted for this reason.

Incubation Sanitation   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-03)
We've already covered the fact that we aren't chickens, and most of us would be happy to admit that without the aid of machines or tools, we're not likely to incubate an egg to term.  There's the occasional story that floats by about the lady who hatched an egg in her bra.
If we gather eggs and are careful to protect the membranes from harm, we've protected the egg's chance of hatching provided it's fertile and viable* (see footnote).
Frequency depends on where the eggs came from, how soiled they were initially, and whether or not any eggs went bad during the course of incubation.

It lends "Bad Eggs" a truly cinematic quality that sets it apart from other low-key Australian comedies.
"Bad Eggs" bristles with one-liners and perfectly timed comic situations, only missing the mark when the humor is played a little too broadly.
