		My aunt believes that Barbies are a bad influence on young girls, considering their disproportionate, "perfect" figures with excessively large busts and small waists.
		With all of the types of television shows, movies, magazines, etc. in the media today that are available to the eyes of young children, it seems almost pointless to try to shelter a young child from such a small issue in comparison to what they see on tv everyday.
		I do think that the Bratz dolls are a bad influence with some of their skimpy clothes and that might be what your aunt hates about them along with being thin, but I don't believe that Barbies are bad.

		Reverse the roles, as some posters here have suggested, and Bad Influence turns into nothing more than an apologia with Rob Lowe as the wronged victim - both cinematically and in his personal life (although I do think he may well have been more sinned against than sinning on the personal front).
		It takes more courage and ultimately shows more integrity on the actor's part that he chose the harder option of the two and went for the unsympathetic role.
