The definition of a bad life and a good life is very important, because if you don't know you will be very confused; if your connotation is wrong you will go in the wrong direction.

CD Baby: CASEY HOLFORD: bad spell, good spell
"bad spell, good spell" is a pretty intimate affair recorded in the home studio of producer scott mann.
The songwriting on his second album, Bad Spell, Good Spell, is skewed in the way many of his fellow musical naifs' output is. That might sound like a bad thing, but anyone jumping to that conclusion need only think of any number of talented musicians whose work was ruined by the homogenization of formal training.
Good songs insinuate themselves into your head in some way and there are several of them on this album.

I do not believe that there is any situation under heaven more insidiously debasing than living with someone who is supposed to love you supremely, but who treats you as dirt underfoot by lying to you, mistreating you, abusing you, and being unfaithful to you.
When we are married to the law, we are in a bad marriage.
The Good News is that in Jesus Christ we can divorce that abusive spouse and can experience the wonder, the joy, the security, and the confidence of being truly loved, truly married to One whose love has no bounds.

In this context, "bad" means "painful" and "good" means "esteemed for moral character." The question of "Why do painful things happen to people who are esteemed for their moral character?" doesn't sound paradoxical.
But the question about bad things and good people is a false paradox.

The thesis of Everything Bad is Good for You is this: people who deride popular culture do so because so much of popcult's subject matter is banal or offensive.

Two fats are considered "bad": Trans fatty acids and saturated fat.
Technically, trans fats is worse than saturated fat, because saturated fat raises both LDL (bad) cholesterol and HDL (good) cholesterol, while trans fats only raise LDL cholesterol.
If you must target one of the fats for modification, you have a greater potential for change by cutting saturated fat because only two-percent of our calories come from trans fat, while 13 percent comes from saturated fat.
