posts a message on 6/14/2005 4:47:36 PM While it is true that there is no marker at the site of the "Bad Day at Black Rock" set location, once a year during the Lone Pine Film Festival a tour is sponsored that includes the "Bad Day" location and they post a temporary sign there.
There were railroad tracks across Highway 395 from the hotel, and my mother told me we all stood on our front porch and watched the train you see in the start of "Bad Days at Black Rock" go by.
