The Moray, Badenoch and Strathspey Artsplay project got underway after two very successful and fun training/awareness days at the East Grange Loft, Kinloss.
In the Local Co-ordinator’s opinion and given the content of the evaluations by both artists and childcarers the aims and objectives of ArtsPlay were fully met in the Moray, Badenoch and Strathspey area.
There is clearly, given the comments from the forum and also from interest generated throughout the life of the project, a demand for more childcare settings to be given access to the type of training ArtsPlay provides.

This area follows the course of the river Spey from its origins in the central highlands, through the Cairngorm mountains, the main centre for Scottish winter sports, on past the country's most famous whisky distilling area, to its mouth in the historic county of Moray.
Kingussie, near the head of the river, was the seat of Alexander Stewart, the Wolf of Badenoch, outlawed son of King Robert II, who "exercised despotic tyranny over his vassals, spreading terror and dismay throughout adjacent districts", including burning down Elgin cathedral in 1390 after the bishop excommunicated him.
The site of Alexander's castle is now occupied by the ruins of Ruthven barracks, erected soon after the 1715 rebellion to keep the local inhabitants in check.

There are business pages, by category for every business in the area that's on the web, and there's an accommodation guide to all accommodation providers with direct links to their own sites.
