  Baduila
Baduila was born about 510, to a military family of the Ostrogoths.
Baduila, unlike his Byzantine enemies, was gracious in victory.
Baduila then came out and did a war dance in front of the assembled armies, as both sides took a break for lunch.

Totila was king of the Ostrogoths, chosen after the death of his uncle Ildibad in 541.
His real name was Baduila, which can be seen from the coinage issued by him.
His life's work was the restoration of the Gothic kingdom in Italy and he entered upon the task at the very beginning of his reign, collecting together and inspiring the Goths and winning a victory over the troops of the emperor Justinian, near Faenza[?].

Totila - Encyclopedia, History, Geography and Biography
Totila, born in Treviso, was king of the Ostrogoths, chosen after the death of his uncle Ildibad, having engineered the assassination of Ildibad's short-lived successor his cousin Eraric in 541.
The Byzantine historian Procopius, who accompanied the general Belisarius in the Gothic War employed his nom de guerre "Totila": his real name, which can be seen from the coinage he issued, was Baduila.
Totila's strategy was to move fast and take control of the countryside, leaving the Byzantine forces in control of well-defended cities, and especially the ports.

 Gualdo Tadino
It was under the latter name that it is best known to history.
In 552, the Byzantine general Narses briefly restored Italy to the empire by defeating the Ostrogoth king Baduila in what is now known as the Battle of Taginae.
The ancient city survived that war, only to be destroyed in a later war at the instigation of the Holy Roman Empire Otto III in 966.

The correct attribution of this unsigned series of bronzes remains uncertain, but numerous examples have been found in the environs of Salona in Illyria, an important Byzantine fort and staging area for military activity in Italy.
Both Belisarius and Narses used it as a headquarters in their campaigns against the Ostrogothic king Baduila (Totila, 541-552), who conducted a brilliant guerrilla campaign against superior Imperial forces until his death at Busta Gallorum in 552.
There is some debate about the date of coinage at this mint.

 Roman Emperors - DIR Justinian
The emperor's motive may have been the danger on the eastern front as much as distrust of Belisarius, but in any case, Belisarius, with important Goths including Witigis and Matasuintha, and the Gothic treasure, made their way to the capital, where the emperor's greeting was cool and mistrustful.
The Goths had already chosen a new leader, Ildibad, nephew of the king of the Visigoths in Spain, and when he was assassinated in 541, his nephew in turn, Totila (as Procopius names him) or Baduila (as the name appears on his coins) was chosen in his place.
Totila was to prove a worthy adversary of the empire.

The actual number of characters you use depends on the types of deck you expect to face (to replace dead characters) and your playing style.
Also note you have the agent Baduila included in the deck as a character, but it's best to play him out as an agent, and use his roadblock ability on a company moving near his home sites.

 The Strong Left Arm
Indeed, at first it seemed that it would prove so; the Gothic leaders seemed more interested in retiring in luxury to the East (as a reward for suitable treasons) than in defending an independent gothic Italy.
Nonetheless, after it seemed that the conquest of Italy had been completed, the Goths elected a new leader, Totila (or Baduila, depending on the sources), who ruled for over a decade and forced Belisarius and his successor Narses to destroy the peninsula in order to save it.
Within fifteen years of the end of the “re-conquest”, the Lombards had invaded Italy (some say that Narses called them in as revenge for an insult to him by the emperor Justin II Few in number, the Lombards were neither able to conquer Italy in its entirely or to be conquered.
