In the field of architecture, the Bahamanis paved way for the distinct style by inviting architects from Persia, Turkey, and Arabia and blended it with local styles.
Hazrat Banda Nawaz (1321 - 1422 CE) the great Sufi saint was patronized by the Bahamani kings and his Dargah of Gulbarga is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus and Muslims alike.
The later kings of the Bahamani dynasty were too weak to keep the kingdom in tact, and this led to the breakup.

One of the most difficult problems which faced the Bahamanis was a strife among the nobles, who were divided into old-comers (Deccanis) and new-comers(Afaqis or gharibs).
The Bahamani kingdom acted as a cultural bridge between the north and the south.

In the north the Bahamanis were their strong enemies.
The interest of the Vijayanagara and Bahamani empires clashed on three areas : The Tungabhadra doab (for wealth and resources), the Krishna-Godavari delta (which was fertile and had numerous ports for foreign trade) and control of Konkan (extremely fertile and included the port of Goa, which was an important outlet in the west).
The five broken Bahamani kingdoms, did a combined crusade on Vijayanagara at Bannihatti in 1565 and in the battle of Rakshasa-Tangadi, Rama Raja was surrounded, taken prisoner and immediately executed and this brought an end to the Best Empire of the South.

With the weakening interest and control of Muslim ruler over the territory gave an opportunity to the last Kadamba ruler to occupy the kingdom till the next attack of Muslim took place in the year 1327 AD.
The Bahamanis soon usurped and became the powerful dynasty with Goa as a part of their domain.
The coins of Kadambas are extremely beautiful and the title that they carried in the coins are quite detailed and easily understandable by anybody who knows to read Devanagari script.

During the very first invasion by the Muhammedans this territory subjugated to them and after a few years it became a part of the fief of Malik kafur, the general of Alauddin Khilji.
            With the advent of the Bahamanis, the southern country or the Deccan was divided into four parts or the subhas and Nanded was included in the Subha of Telangana.
The famous Vazir or the Prime Minister of the Bahamanis Mahmud Gavan divided the Kingdom into  subhas with Nanded forming part of Mahur Balaghat.
