		During the 60s Balay becomes the major Spanish manufacturer of totally automatic washing machines and markets the first spin dryers.
		In the 70s Balay becomes the major manufacturer of dishwashers and it was the first company to launch a new kitchen concept, separating the oven from the hob.
		Coinciding with the end of millennium, Balay becomes consolidated as the leader in white line household appliances on the Spanish market.

		Roland Balay was born in Paris on May 28, 1902, a son of Charles Balay, a French miniaturist painter (1861-1943), and Amelie Knoedler, Michael's daughter.
		Balay joined the New York gallery in 1922 to work under his uncle Roland Knoedler, Michael's oldest son, who was then known as the dean of the New York art world.
		Balay is survived by his wife of 30 years, Felicie Trayman Balay; a son and daughter from his earlier marriage, John Balay, of Leek, Staffordshire, England, and Marianne Blondin-Walter, of La Bernerie-en-Retz, France; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

	Balay Mindanaw: Dekada na!
		Balay Mindanaw culminated its year-long celebration of its 10th Year of Journey on May 8, 2006 with the theme, “Pagmalandong, Pagpangandam, Pagsaulog alang sa ika-10 nga tuig sa Paglawig sa Balay Mindanaw.”
		As a tribute to the founder of Balay Mindanaw, a plaque of dedication and distinction was awarded to Kaloy being the founder of Balay Mindanaw and “a unifying force, a faithful dreamer of Balay Mindanaw’s vision towards Equity, Development and Peace.”
		The celebration was followed by a fiesta, an afternoon with local singers and a solidarity night presenting the newly composed songs for Balay Mindanaw.
