  Ballachulish House
Built in 1640, Ballachulish House is a country estate of historical significance set within view of the Pap of Glencoe, close to Ben Nevis and the Great Glen, and within a stone's throw of Lochs Linnhe and Leven.
Ballachulish House is an historic site implicated in the events surrounding the Massacre of Glencoe (1692) after which it was destroyed in the wake of the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745.
Ballachulish is also famous for the Appin murder, immortalized by Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped", depicting the murder of the King's Factor in 1752 one mile from the current house.
