 Ballroom Dancing
Musical time signature is denoted by fractions, such as 4/4, in which the upper number shows how many beats are in a measure and the lower number shows which note gets one count, in this case the quarter note.
However, when music is syncopated, the accent of the first beat is shifted to some other count within the measure.
Musical count is the number and sequence of beats in a measure, whereas, dance count describes the sequence of steps and whether it should be for one or two musical beats.

Antique Replica Retro Music Boxes - Old Style Vintage Dancing Ballroom Music Box ~ Free Shipping!
A musical box (or music box) is a 19th century automatic musical instrument that produces sounds by the use of a set of pins placed on a revolving cylinder so as to strike the tuned teeth of a steel comb.
Surviving musical boxes from the 19th century and the early 20th century are prized by collectors and there is a more or less constant manufacturing of reproductions.
Because most of the coin-operated music boxes were built for rough treatment (such as typical slapping and kicking by a disgruntled customer) many of these large models have survived into the 21st century, despite their relatively low production quantities.

The opening scenes of the 1992 musical Strictly Ballroom are a veritable collage of chiffon, spangles, tassels, and silk, as ballroom dancers glide across the floor of the venerable Pan Pacific Grand Prix Amateur dance competition.
Some the scenes are side- splittingly funny, as we see the dogmatic competition Director, Barry Fife, finally brought to his knees, in his efforts to squelch Scott's creativity in preserving the Federation's rules.
All in all, Strictly Ballroom is a light, irreverent, stylish, anti-establishment statement, beautifully embellished with humor and sophistication.
