Balochi, a north-western Iranian language, is the principal language of Balochistan.
The eastern Balochi dialect is spoken from Karachi northwards up to Dera Ismail Khan and to the Suleman Mountains, including the Marri Bugti areas.
The western Balochi dialect is spoken between Karachi (Pakistan) and Kerman (Iran), among the Baloch of Turkmenistan, the Sultanate of Oman, the Khorasan province of Iran and Sistan (Iran-Afghanistan).

Balochi is spoken in Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, India, the Arab Gulf States, Turkmenistan and East Africa.
The areas where Eastern Balochi dialects are spoken (the north-eastern areas of Pakistani Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh) are in many ways less cdeveloped, espeically when it comes to education, than other parts of Balochistan, which accounts for why it is little used in the written form.
There is a Balochi Studies section at the Balochistan University in Quetta which teaches and researches the Balochi language and literature.

I have lived in balochistan 10 yeras of my life and i know the problem of balochis very well....which is created by themselves....
My baluch friend if its not been for Pakistan, baluchistan today would be as progressed as todays afghanistan is........and ur tribal leaders (who have fed ur generations with baluchi nationalism) would have made sure that this be the case....
And please stop with this mantra of Feudals and Sardara, the army operation is being conducted in the SW Balochistan where the Sardari system doesn't exist.
