Baltimore's harbor is the location of Fort McHenry, which came under attack by British forces in the War of 1812 and whose defense inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem, "The Star-Spangled Banner," which furnishes the lyrics to the United States national anthem.
Baltimore is in the north central part of the state of Maryland, on the Patapsco River[?].
Baltimore is also the name of a song recorded in 1979 by singer/songwriter Tori Amos (then known by her birth name of Myra Ellen.) Pressed on just 500 7" vinyl records, it was given a citation by the mayor of Baltimore.

The Barre Medium Quarry was “about 500 feet southeast of the Milne quarry.” The operator was the Barre Medium Granite Co. of Barre, Vermont.
In 1907 the estimated measurements of the quarry were “about 375 by 200 feet and from 10 to 50 feet deep.” In 1917 the quarry was not in operation.
