Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport serves the Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC metro region.
The airport had been a major haven for low-cost flights in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area since the arrival of Southwest Airlines in September of 1993, and in the early 2000s Southwest significantly increased its operations there.
More recently, a new international terminal (Concourse E) was added and, in 2005, Concourses A and B were expanded and integrated to house all of Southwest Airlines' operations at the airport.

Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport, (IATA: BOS, ICAO: KBOS) in the East Boston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, is one of the 20 busiest airports in the U.S., with 22 million passengers a year using its 43 airlines.
Originally called Boston Airport, Logan opened on September 8, 1923 and was used primarily by the Massachusetts Air Guard and the Army Air Corp. The first scheduled commercial passenger flights were initiated by Colonial Air Transport between Boston and New York City in 1927.
By road, the airport is at the eastern terminus of the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90), which provides easy access from the west.
