  Duffy's Blog: Another Trickster
Bamapana is obscene, he's causes discord (and laughter, another kind of discord?), he flouts conventions, specifically the taboo against incest...
So I guess (and here I am guessing) any trickster figure here would be at once an entertainment and a horror or source of uncertainty, in that he embodied that which the convention said was taboo.
But Bamapana is the only trickster name I know of, so the trickster figure might be less widespread that I'm guessing.

Bamapana Discordance The 1500 m Bamapana Discordance is the result of a series of short axial valley spreading segments and the chaotic abyssal hill topography created by extensional faulting within the axial valleys of the segments.
The bathymetric highs are created by tectonic rather than volcanic processes but ecologically they might be considered seamounts.
The names of these seamounts are based on Australian Aboriginal mythology and are provisional pending approval.

Today In Alternate History: Mozart's Magic Ship Produced; Meet The Flagstones
in the Dreaming, Bamapana descended from the Backbone of the Night to tell the People of his new game, and teach it to them.
The game revolved around the tossing of a stick from one player to another, who must catch and carry it without using his hands, and then drop it into a basket to score a point.
When Bamapana played it, of course, there was much foul language, and players still use it to this day to honor him.
