The climb is a long strenous hike, but don't get frustrated, I observed this kind of climbers that will boost your morale, a single leg active man, a 70 yrs old woman, a 5 yr young boy at the peak of banahaw (but those are Pilgrims though).
Banahaw can be scaled any time of the year though it is best advised especially for beginners and the curious to climb it during the summer season, the negative challenge is the lack of water at Kweba ng Diyos.
During the Holy Week the place is over-populated (counting to ten of thousands), you will encounter bad smells because of human waste, noisy and climb will be frequently stalled.

Twenty eight (28) Volunteer Oficers and EP of Bravo (DART) Company were placed OPCON to the Bantay Banahaw 2001, supervised by the Local Government of the Municipality of Dolores, Province of Quezon.
The Group were divided into two Teams, Bravo Rescue Team 1 encamped at "Tatlong Puno Makasim" and Bravo Rescue Team 2 encamped at the rainforest of "Kapatagan", with the temperature to drop at 4 degree celsius, the group was further placed OPCON by the Local Government stationed at the foot of the Mountain "Barangay Kinabuhayan".
One rescue operation have become a daramitc event for the Team, a thorough experience in applying emergency situational skill, while adopting jungle environment requiring movements in total darkness, associated with heavy rain and coldness.
