The Sikh Museum at Bangla Sahib
The works of eminent artists on display, named after one of the generals who captured the Red Fort, in Gurdwara Bangla Sahib portray the life of Sikh Gurus and the role of the community in India’s freedom struggle and the earlier wars they fought against the Mughals.
"As our religious traditions only permit the portrayal of Gurus through paintings, the works depict Sikh history and the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib," says curator Surinder Singh.
The paintings depict the lives of all Sikh Gurus, their wars against the Mughals, the capture of the Red Fort by Baghel Singh, young Bhagat Singh in Lahore jail, and Udham Singh who avenged the Jalianwalla Bagh massacre and was hanged in 1940.

Having been associated with Bangla Sahib for the last 33 years I can state that there are lots of other changes as well...and not of the sort that this article mentions.
Inside the gurdwara Bangla Sahib where in my childhood days was a simple wooden palki now stands a golden one.
While keeping track of revenues and expenses is no doubt important, our Gurdwara managements should be measured on how many people took Amrit, gave up intoxicants, were taught about the rehat of the khalsa and became Guru Wallas as a result of the prachar and other services performed at the gurdwara.

Columns - Rehan Ansari - Experiences in a gurdwara
It would be any small town in the region, one main road, one bazaar, one girls' school and one for boys, except that it houses Panja Sahib Gurdwara, one of the fundamental sites of Sikhdom.
The gurdwara remains quiet and the town is sleepy, until the pilgrims come.
