 Taxation and the Bankruptcy Code
Several tax claims that are identified in the Bankruptcy Code as priority claims or as claims that are nondischargeable are tied to certain time limits, for example, tax claims assessed within 240 days of the filing of the petition are priority claims under § 507(a)(8) and nondischargeable under § 523(a)(1).
