 | | BANSTEAD 10 June, 1999 -- Ford Motor Company has maintained a continuous special relationship with the Banstead Mobility Centre at Carshalton, Surrey, for the past 15 years - during which time it has contributed a total of more than £750,000 in financial support and been involved in many of the new initiatives introduced there. |
 | | And, in addition to a static display of Ford vehicles, Banstead also has on loan a Fiesta, Escort, Mondeo and Galaxy for driver and passenger assessment on both public roads and the Centre's own specially-designed mini road system complete with crossings, junctions and traffic lights. |
 | | Several years ago Banstead's Director Morigue Cornwell visited the Ford Engineering Centre at Dunton, Essex, to assist the company's engineers to gain a greater awareness of the special needs of disabled drivers and passengers. |
