		Chan's widow Evelyn, in a press conference here on Friday, said she believed a top official of Ilocos Sur had a hand in the ambush slaying of her husband and driver Alex Regacho while they were cruising along the highway in Barangay Paing, Bantay on Oct. 4, 2001.

		Tourism groups are planning to build a monument showing the busts of the countryâs Ilocano presidents in Bantay, Ilocos Sur and transform it into a major tourist destination.
		The four Ilocano presidents to be featured in the monument are Elpidio Quirino, who was born in Vigan, Ilocos Sur; Ramon F. Magsaysay, who hailed from the Ilocano side of Castillejos, Zambales; Ferdinand E. Marcos, who was from Batac, Ilocos Norte, and Fidel V. Ramos, who is from Pangasinan.
