The work of the National Association of Free Will Baptists is promoted from the National Offices in Antioch, Tennessee and the Sunday School and Church Training Department and Free Will Baptist Bible College located in Nashville, Tennessee.
On the American scene, the denomination could point to a number of sources--the General and the United Baptists in North Carolina, the Congregational Church in New England, and the Separate Baptists in Kentucky and Tennessee.
History has revealed that Baptists of our persuasion have been present since the first Baptist Church was established in America in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1639.

 The Basilica of St. John the Baptist
The Arch is constructed of enormous blocks of granite and is surmounted by a marble statue of St. John the Baptist, patron of the city and one of the patrons of the Basilica.
On September 9, 1855 A.D. this Cathedral and Mother Church of Newfoundland was consecrated in honour of the Blessed and Immaculate Virgin, St. John the Baptist, and St. Francis, by Brother John Thomas Mullock, O.F.M., Bishop of Newfoundland.
To the south of the piazza stands the Entrance Arch, with its statue of St. John the Baptist.

No. Each of the three Conventions as they formerly existed is now represented by Boards, which are chosen at the annual meetings by the respective State delegations, in the same manner that the officers of the Convention are chosen, and these hold their respective offices until their successors are elected and qualified.
The meetings of the National Baptist Convention have been held at the same time and place of the Baptist Foreign Mission Convention from 1887 to 1895, when all the National organizations merged into one.
The fifth Sunday occurring in each year has been designated "Foreign Mission Day," and it is the duty of the Foreign Mission Board to furnish a program for the use of all the Baptist churches on that day, the money raised to be sent to the Treasurer of the Board.

The Baptist World Alliance has relocated from old offices in McLean, Va., to a new building in another Washington suburb, Falls Church, Va. The new address for headquarters of the international organization of Baptist unions and conventions is 406 N. Washington Street, Falls Church, Va. 22046.

Carl Weiser, a pastor from Lynchburg, Va., was defeated on a 17-9 vote by Conrad "Buster" Brown, pastor of East Cooper Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Weiser served two years as chairman, during a period in which the board fired President Mark Coppenger, dealt with irregularities in enrollment reporting and hired a new president.
