When Morgoth began to pursue the people and land of Dorthonion and made it into a region of dread and darkness Emeldir lead away all the children and women to Brethil but some few men remained under command of Barahir and among those twelve outlaws was Baragund.
This year was Gorlim, one of the outlaws in Dorthonion, ensnared by Morgoth and he betrayed his friends and they were all slain by Orcs save Beren.
