Overall, I would not fly on Iberia, either International or on the Continent.
We also had flown from Dublin to Barcelona and that flight was also extremely crowded and absolutely everything had to be purchased, including water.

Normally I fly with American Airlines to Miami, but could not resist trying Iberia given that the fare I was quoted with them was £500 less than with BA or AA.
I found Madrid airport to a tiring airport because of the vast distances that have to be walked between gates.
I also found the boarding procedures to be chaotic with no attempt at queue management or boarding by class or seat row.
