  Samuel Barber
Barber was a great admirer of Yeats, especially the world-weary, realistic poet of the late years, not the spirit-guided author of "The Vision." (Oddly enough he set only one of his poems, "The Secrets of the Old.") He apparently had a minor epiphany at the poet’s grave at Bulbec.
Barber’s many allusions to it and his deadly enactment of the prima donna’s behavior, including a stellar part for her dog, was a great performance in his anecdotal repertoire.) The wonderful Eleanor Steber learned the part in a few weeks.
Barber was more hurt by the knowledge that the music of the opera he wrote was only barely decipherable in the babble of scenic activity than by the critics’ "predictable" restatement for the umpteenth time that he rejected current techniques.

Barbers, cosmetologists, and other personal appearance workers
Barbers, cosmetologists, and other personal appearance workers who operate their own salons have managerial duties that may include hiring, supervising, and firing workers, as well as keeping business and inventory records, ordering supplies, and arranging for advertising.
Overall employment of barbers, cosmetologists, and other personal appearance workers is projected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations through 2014, because of an increasing population, rising incomes, and growing demand for personal appearance services.
On the one hand, slower-than-average growth is expected in employment of barbers because of the large number of retirements expected over the 2004—14 projection period and because of the relatively small number of cosmetology school graduates opting to obtain barbering licenses.

 IHAS: Composer
Samuel Osborne Barber II was born March 9, 1910, in West Chester, PA, the son of a prominent doctor.
Barber composed a wide range of stage, orchestral, chamber, piano, choral, and vocal works in what he unassumingly insisted was a personal style "born of what I feel..I am not a self-conscious composer." His discipline and use of traditional forms earned him the reputation of a classicist.
Virgil Thomson once wrote that Barber was laying to rest the ghost of Romanticism without violence, though in light of the composer's lush lyricism, deft dramatic sense, and inclination toward Romantic poetic sources (especially in his vocal writing), this comment ultimately proved to be off-mark.
