 | | J.J. Bradley, prominent farmer and business man of Mt. Andrew, is a native of Alabama, born in the year 1847, January 20th, in Barbour county. |
 | | He responded to the call of his beloved state in 1863, as a private in company A, First Alabama volunteer infantry, and served as such until the close of the war, participating in the battles of the Atlanta campaign, Franklin and Nashville, Tenn., and surrendered at Greensboro, N. in 1865. |
 | | He has borne no little part in matters political, and as a democrat was elected to the office of county commissioner, the duties of which he discharged with credit to himself and satisfaction to all concerned, for one term. |
