  Baretta
Baretta proceeded to the scene and stood by while the landing craft carefully cut her anchor cable and then crept away from the peril.
Baretta reached Ulithi on the 7th and, for the next three weeks, operated on the main net line there, "upending, repairing, and replacing the antitorpedo panels." She devised a new method of handling the nets, which both saved time and reduced the possibility of damage to the buoys.
Baretta built a wooden jury ramp, repaired the tank landing craft's leaking starboard ballast tank and shifted the cargo load to port.

Baretta (1986) noted that in Asher (1972), the same activity was used as a class activity as well as a post-test, which, he suggests, explains why TPR students of German did better than controls.
Baretta also noted that TPR and control students performed equally on a reading comprehension test.
I had claimed that in Asher (1972) TPR students with 32 hours of exposure did as well as controls who had 150 hours of exposure to German.

 Baretta Review At DVDwolf.com
Synopsis: Baretta - The T.V. series ran from 1975 to 1978 starring Robert Blake as maverick, undercover New York Cop.
What surprises me is that they would decide to release a Season of Baretta on DVD what with all the hoopla surrounding Robert Blake's arrest over the alleged murder of his wife.
As for The Best of Baretta, really, don't bother with it, just pick up the complete Season One set as the three episodes that exist on the disc are contained within the box set.

It is a sordid fact of life that were it not for Robert Blake's newfound infamy as an accused wife murderer, Baretta, which lasted from 1975 to 1978, might have been relegated to late nights in TV land.
Baretta is an undercover cop in the Serpico mode.
While Baretta's first boss did okay, I far preferred Brubaker's attitude in dealing with this rogue cop who always managed to get his man (or woman), in his own erstwhile fashion.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A forensic scientist testified Tuesday at Robert Blake's murder trial that the former Baretta star had far less gunshot residue on his hands than would have been expected if he had shot his wife.
By Nick Ut, AP Celia Hartnett, who has worked in the field for 32 years, was hired by Blake's defense to reanalyze results presented by the prosecution earlier in the trial.
She said she conducted a test firing of the weapon with ammunition from the same manufacturer and with the same specifications as the bullet that killed Blake's wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.

Hollywood murder: Should trial be on TV? | csmonitor.com
VAN NUYS, CALIF. – The news images are eerily similar: a well-known celebrity is led to and from court in handcuffs, or videotaped with police escort by live "heli-cam." The charges and circumstances are similar too: a murdered wife, a history of spousal conflict amid sexual peccadilloes, and alibis that don't add up.
Because of the surface resemblance to the O.J. Simpson murder case, the trial of former TV star Robert Blake – now in preliminary stages in a courtroom here – is reviving the issue of cameras in the courtroom.
Blake, a child star and actor in the 1970s detective series, "Baretta," is being held for allegedly murdering his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, who was shot May 4, 2001, in a car outside a restaurant where the couple had just dined.
