  Bariaur - Biocrawler   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
Bariaurs are a fictional species of goat-like humanoids in the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy role-playing game, most notably in the Planescape campaign setting.
Although they are similar to centaurs, bariaurs traditionally do not take kindly to this comparison, and consider themselves beings in their own right.
Bariaurs are native to the plane of Ysgard, but are nomadic and can be found on many other planes, especially the Outlands.

 The Bariaur Society
The organization of the Bariaur society, first of all, is not centered, as most of the humanoids' society, on a gender.
The bariaurs consider that as both male and female have a role in the Tribe, they are equal.
The bariaurs most of the time wear clothes only on their human part; with quite good taste, and with a complex code showing their rank or role in the tribe, or their achievement.

Bariaurs consider humans to belong to two separate races — the rural folk and nomads, who are fellow free spirits; and the city-dwelling humans, who are horrible, cruel creatures in dens of stone.
Bariaur tribes are found throughout the planes of Ysgard (which is known for particularly rugged breeds), Arborea, the Beastlands, and the Outlands.
Bariaurs all possess a given name that is chosen by the flock’s bards or mystics shortly after the birth of a kid.

 ::Planescape Character Race Descriptions::
A bariaur, in the simplest terms possible, is a nomadic goat-like centaur.
Physically, bariaur share the features of a goat and a human, with a goat-like lower body, a humanoid upper torso, and a head that sports ram-like horns in males and subtle goat-like facial features.
Unlike most prime centaur races, bariaur are extremely fussy about their appearance, often dressing in fine vests and girdles and dying or shaving their pelts in specific styles and designs.

Does this imply that as long as a bariaur resides on Ysgard, he can't be permanently killed by conventional means (ie besides something like a sphere of annihilation?) What are some better ways to do so?
