Tye was miffed at having another dog in her house.
Tye has been really great at teaching Kona the house rules, such as laying on a mat and staying off the furniture.
Tye doesn't like cats and feels the need to alert us if any are passing by.

The name Tye is a Middle English topographic name (mainly East Anglia) for someone who lived by a common pasture or enclosure.
The maps in figs 1 and 2 show the distribution of individuals named Tye across GB counties at the time of the 1881 census and the 1998 electoral register.
In 1881 there were 1734 occurences of the Tye surname.

John COLCHESTER was born before 1469 and died in 1528 in Barking, Suffolk.
In February 1504 he inherited from his father a tenement called Brownys of 3 acres abutting on the way from Barking Tye to Willisham Tye, Fremannescrofte of 9 acres, Wodeclose of 10 acres, and Lokynnys Close of 2 acres.
Two weeks later he received from the same two persons 7 acres called Winds, a 2 acre close called Old Feld and another 2½ acre close called Ashe, and all with appurtenances.

Winditches is the field between Bonny Wood and Barking Tye, now behind the water tower at Barking Tye.
The land was probably given this name as it was once owned by the Wimbys family in 1222.

Both Barking and Darmsden have two wheelie bins, green lid for recycling and fl lid for refuse destined for land fill.
Collections in both Barking and DarmsdenĀ are very early on Friday morning (approx 7am), so you need to put your wheelie out late on Thursday night.
Please do not leave the bins out longer than is necessary.

 My Suffolk Family
Great Bricet mill (shown above with Abner on the 'fly') was built by my Great Great Grandfather, Abner John CLARK (I'm not sure he built it alone - he probably had some help!) around 1857 on the site of a former post mill.
Abner's father Charles was also a Miller and owned the windmill at Barking Tye until moving to Bricet.
Great Bricet mill was damaged by an earth tremor (known locally as the Essex Earthquake) in 1884 and in 1912 the sails were removed.

Bonny Wood lies about half a mile from Barking Tye, and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for the sheer quality of its habitats.
