Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
He was born in Scheveningen, Netherlands, the son of Heinrich Baron Thyssen-Bornemisza de Kászon (1875-1947) and his first wife, Baroness Margit Bornemisza de Kászon (1887-1971).
The Thyssen family's fortune was built upon a steel and armaments empire: Heinrich Thyssen had abandoned Germany as a young man and settled in Hungary in 1905.
Their children were Francesca (born 1958 and now married to Karl Habsburg-Lothringen, heir to the defunct Austrian imperial throne) and Lorne (born 1963).

Guardian | Art, aristocracy and a £2bn family row
Millions of pounds of Thyssen family money had already gone into the pockets of more than a dozen British barristers and solicitors when Mr Justice Mitchell, who said he had been raised in Scotland to show "proper respect for money", angrily refused to renew his three-year contract with the Bermudan bench.
The Thyssens' holding companies, mainly based in fiscally opaque financial paradises, are estimated to own about 100 hi-tech and industrial businesses around the world.
Francesca, who flirted with the Eighties punk scene in London, is among those to have appealed for a negotiated end to the family war.

Yet, for all her passion for her husband and their collections, the baroness, now 56, has also learned it is not easy to be the fifth wife of an extremely wealthy man 22 years her senior who has four children from earlier marriages.
And it was at this point, with some 200 paintings to her name, that the baroness decided to become a collector in her own right.
There is evidently no need to change the museum's name since the baroness is already present: in the museum's large atrium, she and her husband preside in life-size paintings.

The Thyssens were untitled, and only Heini’s mother, the Hungarian Baroness Bornemisza, was of the Gotha.
Tita became the next Baroness Thyssen, endearing herself to the Spanish people when she coaxed a reluctant Heini to permanently house his art collection in Spain, where it will remain after his death.
