		A Barq’s drinker for fifteen years, Marx refers to the brand as “my beer.” His dedicated blog, which features Marx’s affectionate musings about Barq’s, comments from fellow Barq’s fans, Barq’s commercials, and other Barq’s news, was featured in the New York Times in 2005 as part of a story on brand blogs.
		The ubiquitous Barq’s was soundly and roundly denounced as an impostor.
		So bring on the critics, for every one that despises Barq’s, there is at least one or more that loves the sweet fizzy nectar that often bites the timid lipped seeker of liquid refreshment.

		I had a Brita filter at the end of its life, and a bottle of Barq’s Cream Soda, and wondered what would happen to the soda after it had been filtered.
		Since the filter was mostly dry before the experiment, it probably didn’t have much water in it to dilute the Barq’s.

		The excellent varieties are generally the equivalent of micro-brew beer, only instead of tasting like high quality piss, they taste like high quality sugar water.
		IBC for instance is pretty good, but I wouldn't put it on the same level as a TK or HW.
		For a can type, Barqs is good, then you step up to IBC.
