Beacon Club was formed by former members of P.E.E.L. (now registered as Packington) Jan Webb, Tony Stackhouse, Dave and Pauline Powell and Brenda MacHale.
PEEL was not registered at the time so they started their own Club nearer to home Beacon was chosen as the name because of the proximity to Barr Beacon.
Before long Beacon had joined an inter-club league with Packington, Bromsgrove, and Worcester, holding 4 matches a year until the competition calendar became to crowded to continue.

Barr Beacon to the north of the Pheasey Estate is a local beauty spot and the highest point of the area.

Beacon FC currently play in the Sutton and District Sunday League Division 1 and home matches are played at Barr Beacon Language College (WS9 0RF).
Beacon were passing smoothly, although the game was consistently interrupted by a series of fouls by the home team.

 The Star Beacon; Ashtabula, Ohio - Gas driller denies causing fish kill
Barr, president of Big Sky Energy, and his son, Robert Barr Jr., took some heat earlier this week when the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and residents of Sleepy Hollow blamed excessive run-off from the Barr's nearby well sites for a fish kill in the community's lakes.
The Barrs drilled three gas wells this past winter on the property just east of Sleepy Hollow.
The Barrs on Thursday showed visitors silt pits and fences they've erected to catch the sediment from flowing into Sleepy Hollow's lakes.
