The Barrie Flyers were a team in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1945 to 1960, from Barrie, Ontario.
Barrie won the right to play for the Cup by defeating the Windsor Spitfires for the OHA championship, and the Montreal Nationales to win the Richardson Trophy as eastern Canadian representatives.
Barrie won the right to play for the Cup by defeating the Toronto Marlboros for the OHA championship, and the Quebec Citadels in a best-of-seven series to win the Richardson Trophy as eastern Canadian representatives.

 Niagara Falls Flyers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The second Flyers team played for 4 seasons in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1976 to 1980, and 2 years in the Ontario Hockey League from 1980 to 1982.
In total, the Flyers won the Memorial Cup twice in Niagara Falls, and twice in Barrie.
The Flyers from 1960 to 1972 were coached by Hap Emms, Bill Long and Paul Emms.

In 1953 the Barrie Flyers returned to the Memorial Cup finals for the third time in six years and for the second time in three years as they met the St.Boniface Canadiens in the best of seven finals.
Barrie faced similar circumstances in game two as this time they erased a 3-2 Canadians' lead with four consecutive goals to record a 6-3 win and take a 2-0 lead in the series.
For Hap Emms, the coach of Barrie, this was his second Memorial Cup as he became the fifth coach in the 35-year history of the Memorial Cup to coach two Memorial Cup winning teams.

On April 17, 1967, Bill Long, a long-time coach and general manager of the Barrie Flyers, was named the first coach of the 67's.
Their first regular-season game was played on October 6, 1967 at Niagara Falls where they lost to the Flyers, 9-0.
The first time the 67's won a playoff series was during the 1970-71 playdowns, defeating the Hamilton Red Wings, 9-5, in an eight-point quarter-final series.
