The town of Barrow in Furness are implementing a project to repatriate the submarine Olympus back to Barrow where she was built.
There are so many people to thank for the support we, the Barrow in Furness branch received for this draw “to raise funds for the repatriation of Olympus to Barrow”.
Those of you who did your bit will be interested to hear that the cost of launching such a draw was in the order of £1000 plus approximately £200 to underwrite some of the prizes, which of course we needed to recoup before any profit could be made.
