Strat's Place - Daniel Rogov - Sauternes and Barsac - 1999 - A Splendid Vintage |
 | | Chateau Broustet, Barsac, 1999: Medium bodied and with a color that varies as one hold it to the light from light golden to orange, this richly sweet wine almost shows off with its luxurious coconut, cinnamon and sweet citrus aromas and flavors. |
 | | Chateau Nairac, Barsac, 1999: So full bodied and sweet is this burnished golden wine that at first sip one might be tempted to think of this wine as "heavy", but soon revealing such good balance and structure that the wine opens to reveal melon, apricot and honeyed flavors and aromas. |
 | | Chateau Doisy-Daene, Barsac, 1999: I'm not quite certain whether it is a compliment or an insult to refer to a Barsac wine as "easy to drink" but that term fits this wine nicely. |
