People from all over the world are writing their own plugins to add the program they like and use.
BartPE does not grant users who do not have a proper Windows XP/2003 license the right to use a BartPE installation.
In practice this means that the user may not use, for instance, a single license installation on one computer while simultaneously using a BartPE installation (created using that license) on another computer.

Another thing you might be interested in Andrew is that you can automate the network configuration tool that comes with BartPE so that it will map network drives, then launch apps, scripts once the network connection is made.
Launch the BartPE builder and select the plugin button so that you can enable the ones you want (there are several).

For those who don't know, bartpe is a legitimate way to make a trimmed down installation of Windows XP or Server 2003 using your installation media.
For more information on bartpe see: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder Basically the pebuilder gathers the minimum files needed to boot into a 32-bit windows kernel and adds some functionality like a desktop and so forth and puts them into a build environment.
In most cases, people just use the build environment to create a bootable CD ROM with bartpe on it (via mkisofs), however, there is a way to move the bartpe installation to a hard drive partition.

Since the first step in removal is to stop the software from running, BartPE or WinPE or a Knoppix CD accomplishes that step on startup.
BartPE is great for those nasty self replicating buggers.

It appears that this is a failure of BartPE, not the Acronis plugin.
Also, from what I remember (I could be wrong), inorder for BartPE to see an external HD it has to be connected and powered up before you boot into the BartPE enviroment.
I then tried the drive and the BartPE cd in the IBM laptop - lo and behold, it DID see the drive and was able to access it correctly.

I do understand that BartPE can be used with a Truecrypt plugin that basically gives Truecrypt a "Traveler mode" ala Drivecrypt.
This alone is a great thing as Truecrypt can encrypt unformatted partitions with no drive letter that looks like random space at the end of the drive.
Yes buddy, it works well, I should know this since myself and a member from the BartPE forum are the creators of the plugin.

This BartPE can be used natively in a virtual machine because the lsilogic driver is already there in Windows 2003.
The way I assume you change the scsi driver would be to add the driver.sys file to the system/drivers folder and then updating registry so that it will use this driver when booting..
Ultimate-P2V is a BartPE free plug-in that allows you to clone a physical machine to virtual machine - and perform the neccessary “system reconfiguration” required to make it bootable.
