Bartow County is a county located in the state of Georgia.
The county's explosive growth is evident with a population of 86,972 according to the 2004 U.S. Census Estimate.
In the county the population is spread out with 27.90% under the age of 18, 8.30% from 18 to 24, 33.00% from 25 to 44, 21.40% from 45 to 64, and 9.40% who are 65 years of age or older.

Bartow County is one of the larger counties in the State in terms of area, encompassing some 471 square miles.
Bartow County is entirely within the Coosa River Basin, but lies in a complex geologic area where the Blue Ridge, Talladega and Northern Piedmont geologic provinces converge, consisting of igneous substrate rock formations, while the Ridge and Valley Province is comprised of sedimentary rock formations.

I adopted Bartow County as my home (born in Oklahoma) 22 years ago, I have that right as my great grandfather was full Cherokee and was taken from the Auroria Gold Fields in 1838 with his brother and forced by the white man to go west.
By an act of legislature in 1861, the name of the county was changed to Bartow, to honor Francis S. Bartow, born in Savannah in 1816, and died at Manassas, commanding the brigade consisting of the 7th, 8th, and 9th Georgia, and the 1st Kentucky Regiments.
WORKSHOP, The Bartow County Genealogical Society held a Family Research Workshop on Saturday March 12 at the Research Library, speakers, Mark Anthony, the President of the Rome Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution spoke on Findind your Ancestor for the Sons of the American revolution membership.
