Basarab Laiotă cel Bătrân was a ruler of the principality of Wallachia in the 15th Century, repeating the achievement of Dan II in being elected by the Boyars as Prince on 5 different occasions.
Also similarly to Dan II, he succeeded one Prince (this time Radu cel Frumos) on 4 seperate occasions.
Two of his reigns also surrounded the last period in which Vlad III (best known as 'Dracula') ruled over Wallachia.
