Basia Hamilton keeps a classic form alive - JAMAICAOBSERVER.COM
That's Basia (the Polish diminutive for Barbara) Hamilton.
She speaks in a roundabout way of her work and her life, jumping from one anecdote to the next, as is often the wont of people who have years of information stored away.
Her work with children is especially regarded as exceptional, as she manages to capture youth in quick sittings, "In the Renaissance, when you see the putti, they tended to have old faces because then the painters could not properly capture a child's expression," says Hamilton, who does not appear to have the same problem.

  Basia Trzetrzelewska: A Biography
Basia Trzetrzelewska was born on September 30, 1959 in Jaworzno, Silesia, Poland.
Basia ruefully admits that she is "the most responsible" for the unusually long gap between albums.
Basia was worried about how the album would come off because, as she says, "There are very few live records that have really impressed me." But she decided to give it a shot anyway, on the condition that the material would only be released if it sounded really good.

Basia (Barbara) Trzetrzelewska (pronounced: Basha Che-che-lev-ska), Polish singer, songwriter and producer, born September 30, 1954, in Jaworzno, made a successful world career recording characteristically Latin-flavored jazz-pop crossover during the late 1980s and early 90s.

In 1979 Basia settled in the U.S.A., but two years later she moved to the U.K. There she sang with group Bronze, where she met her longtime collaborator and writing partner Danny White (younger brother of jazz guitarist Peter White).

Basia’s comeback was officially on, and Matt’s Mood was released in the U.K. last year and on March 1 this year in the U.S. “Matt Bianco’s style is more refined now, and it’s great to be a part of it,” says Basia.
