 Bone Structure
In this section, we illustrate the anatomy and structure of bone tissue as the basis for studying tissue structure function and mechanically mediated tissue adaptation.
Jee (1983) denotes the trabecular packet as the basic structural unit of trabecular bone based on the fact that it is the basic remodeling unit of trabecular bone just as the osteon is the basic remodeling unit of cortical bone).
As with all biological tissues, cortical bone has a hierarchical structure.

Opponent Modeling in No Limit Texas Hold 'em
Modern Hold 'em poker games have a betting structure utilizing what is called a "blind structure." In the blind structure a button is passed around the table one seat at a time counter-clockwise after each hand.
For example, a person who is in a class that only sees 10% of flops can be assumed to be playing hands that are very strong starting hands, and thus we can weight our probabilities for which hand the opponent has towards the high end of the spectrum.
The purpose of this project is develop a No Limit Texas Hold 'em opponent modeler than can be adaptive over a period of poker play.

Basic English is a selection of 850 English words, used in simple structural patterns, which is both an international auxiliary language and a self-contained first stage for the teaching of any form of wider or Standard English.
If Basic English can be taught to a motivated student in one month, then adaptation to a typical classroom and addition of appropriate culture-content would require one semester, or at most, one year, to enable an immigrant to participate in a normal classroom.
English is the most widely distributed language, it is the language of international commerce, and is a language of simple structure.

Metric Structure The data structure elements, datum, of the metric have been chosen to maximize the amount of data available while minimizing the amount of memory needed to store the metric and minimizing the CPU processing requirement needed to generate the metric.
Metric Cutting Room Floor During the design of the metric structure different data elements were proposed, examined, and then either put in the metric or left out of the metric.
The metrics col- lected by these agents has ranged from basic response time to a com- bination of metrics related to the loss and re-transmission of data- grams and PDUs.

 Fine Structure
The basic fine structure calculation is the average of the calculations from the high and low energy positions of the harmonic symmetry particles.
Since the particle structure is founded upon the electromagnetic wave, it is reasonable to consider that the particle structure will simply be an advanced electromagnetic wave structure and will exhibit the same basic principle of overtone and undertone relationships.
The bonding wave must also be accounted for in the calculation of the reference particle wave, and it must be accounted for in the calculation of the fine structure constant as a participant in the reference wave frequencies.

 DESIGN OF COMPACT RFQS
Beam dynamics design procedures have been investigated by many authors, with mostly small deviations from the basic approach given by the ITEP and LANL groups, where the main work concentrated on high flying RFQs, emittance growth mechanism, halo formation and beam losses.
The spatial homogenoues focusing and adiabatic bunching AB, where the beam is continuously bunched and accelerated with small axial fields, are basic ingredients of the RFQ to which sections for the radial- RM and axial matching (shaper) SH to the dc-beam have been added.
The work on ion sources, injectors and accelerator structures has increased the pulse as well as the average current significantly.

Prediction of Protein Function from Primary Structure
The intelligent agent compares query sequence with the basic structure-function unit groups and uses a set of rules to determine the putative function of a protein.
A basic structure-function unit group consists of sequences that share both high primary sequence identity and functional properties.
A common assumption that protein structure implies its function is useful in some cases, but has very limited application with active peptides.

 Sociology Department: Courses
Sociology studies human conduct from the perspective of the history and the 'anatomy' or structure of the group.
The study of the underpinnings of social structure &; enduring patterns of social relations — has long been Sociology's primary mission.
Sociology investigates how such patterns of interdependent activity originate and what sustains them, why they take one shape instead of another, how some change more rapidly than others, how they are related to each other, and how people justify and explain what they are doing.

Therefore, the fine-structure constant is more basic than the FUPCONs that, historically, have been used to define it.
This opens a whole new area of speculation as to the significance of the fine-structure constant, which I pursue in the subjective, metaphysical contents of Chapter 21 in Part Two.
This combination of factors prompts some people to believe that the fine-structure constant pulls the disciplines of electromagnetics, relativity, and quantum physics together into one constant.
