Basil McIvor, and in particular that part of his life which was dedicated to integrated education.
In June 1973, Basil was elected to the newly formed Assembly at Stormont, the main task of which was to endeavour to find a way of establishing an inclusive form of government for Northern Ireland.
In September 1974, Basil returned to the bench, not disenchanted with politics as many commentators said at the time of his death, but in reality because there was no room for him in the new dispensation; moreover, he did have three growing children.

Let me tell you ingrates, that it is just such a person as QC Basil McIvor that protects the civillised refined people of good breeding, manners and the purest bloodstock from despicable low life working class guttersnipes such as the so called concerned parents of Lagan college.
And no the McIvor families positions and status in society have got nothing to do with rampant nepotism, but the natural selection of nature, whereby the superior breeding, manners and genes of father Basil is passed down to his equally illustrious deserving son Johnathan.
Leave QC Basil McIvor and his high socially attaining family alone, these people deserve their privilleged positions of authority and power, and they deserved to be looked up to by common underlyings like us and be admired for their superior breeding, taste, refinement and manners.

Son of the manse, lawyer and family man, he entered the Stormount parliament as a Unionist MP in 1969 when that institution, with its record of Protestant privilege and anti-Catholic discrimination was about to fall apart.
Eventually McIvor found himself in the hot seat of minister of community relations in Brian Faulkner's cabinet, a post he was holding when Edward Heath's government prorogued Stormont and introduced direct rule from Westminster.
Subsequently he served as minister of education in the powersharing Executive and it was during this period that his interest in integrated education for Catholic and Protestant children was kindled.

Right wing conservative hanging judge QC Basil McIvor recently instructed his school staff to send home a 1st year girl pupil for having an afrocarribean hairstyle, another example of QC Basil McIvor tolerance of different cultures.
If it werent for the policies of hanging judge QC Basil McIvors hard line stance against petty criminals, sending petty criminals to jail for minor offences, there would be more resources and room in prisons for the likes of sex offenders and child molesters, to be kept in prison permanently.
When QC Basil McIvors political manipulation of the judicial process in favour of supporters of the RUC is clearly biased, surely such a bigoted narrowminded man as QC Basil McIvor should have no part in the managing of the Integrated education of working class protestants and catholics school children.

Solar Pons is born in Prague to Asenath Pons, consular official for Great Britain, and Roberta McIvor Pons.
