Quezon City---The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) recently commended the Camarines Norte Water District (CNWD) for its mass socialized water supply program citing that it could serve as a model for other water districts in their bid to provide piped potable water to thousand of generally poor families living the
CNWD which also covers the towns of Basud and San Vicente currently supplies potable piped water to more than 18,000 regular paying service connectors in the seven towns of Camarines Norte that used to be served by the now-defunct provincial waterworks system until the establishment of the CNWD in 1975.
Despite this improvement, however, a sizable segment of the population in its area of coverage still remains unserved especially those in the interior, largely agricultural communities.

He finished his elementary in Bayugan Central Elementary School in Bayugan 1, Agusan Del Sur; he pursued his high school at the Agusan del Sur College in the same place and later transferred to Diatagon Catholic High School in Diatagon, Lianga, Surigao Del Sur and graduated thereat in 1978.
During his stint with the Philippine Navy he became the Chief Researcher Analyst and Chief of Civilian Affairs based in Legazpi City in the Research Department of the Naval Intelligence.

On 24 October 1994, at around three o’clock in the afternoon, while Adora was alone watching the parade at the Basud Elementary School on the occasion of the town fiesta, Crisanto approached her saying that Maria Julieta was sending for her.
  Thereafter, Adora proceeded to the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital.

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has granted P0.86 million to the Caayunan Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Basud, Camarines Norte for its “Expansion and Market Development of Dehydrated Pineapple Processing” project.
The CIDA approved the project last November 15 through a Contribution Agreement signed by Canadian Ambassador Peter Sutherland and Mr.
DTI Camarines Norte provincial director Ernesto Pardo is optimistic that through this project, Camarines Norte would be able to produce dehydrated pineapple at par with the dehydrated mango of Cebu.
