Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu: PS2 Review   (Site not responding. Last check: )
For me, the pinnacle of Batman video games came in the form of Batman Returns for the SNES —; a rare marriage of movie license and video game that is actually still fun to play to this day.
Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu (Batman from this point on) is a fairly straightforward beat ‘em up that is much like beat ‘em ups of yesteryear, in that droves of enemies will come at you over and over and over again — and your job will be to simply beat them up.
Batman is certainly not an amazing game and it certainly doesn't push the envelope in any particular area — but it certainly is playable and definitely leans further toward fun than the agonizing empty spot more recent Batman games have left gamers with.

Batman Returns (video game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Batman Returns is a video game for various platforms based on the movie of the same name.
The PC version of the game differed considerably from the other versions, in that it was not primarily an action game, rather an adventure game.
The gaming press almost universally panned the game for the aforementioned bugs, for being near unplayable (with controls that rarely reacted in the way they should have done) together with poor graphics and sound - the game was given marks as low as 19% (CU Amiga).

 Batman Summary
Batman (originally referred to as the Bat-Man, and still sometimes as the Batman) is a DC Comics fictional character and superhero who first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939.
Batman's evolution continues through the late 1980s, notably with the 1988's "Batman: A Death in the Family" storyline, for which DC Comics created a 900 number for readers to call to vote on whether Jason Todd lived or died.
Batman's first intercompany crossover is with Marvel's Hulk in the 1981 Marvel and DC Presents: Batman vs the Incredible Hulk, in which the two fight the Joker and the Shaper of Worlds.

Batman Returns is a graphically intense fighting game that seats you as the Dark Knight himself.
The game got slightly boring due to the fact that you are beating the heck out of the same bad guys throughout the entire game.
The game control is excellent, as you can do all of Batman's trademark moves, such as smashing two guys together, or throwing a guy through a window in the background.

GameSpy.com - Reviews: Batman Vengeance (Xbox)
First released on the PS2, the game proved to be a surprisingly good comic book adventure that stayed true to the Batman cartoon show, and sported great graphics, topnotch sound, and a commendable mix of gameplay elements.
Batman in particular is fantastic looking, with animation so refined that even his cape reacts in a realistic manner.
Most of the game is standard run, jump, and beat 'em up third-person action, but the developer tried to change the pace with some driving, flying, and freefalling sequences.

This game allows you to take two enemies and beat their heads together, one of the coolest moves ever in a video game and this is the only game I can think of that allows you to do that!
The only real drawback to the game is that it doesn't have a lot of variety to it, like the Genesis Batman game, but honestly, it's so much fun that you won't even notice it.
Batman himself is huge for the time this game came out and the crispness of the graphics and superb nimation make this one of the better looking SNES games.

UGO Batman Hub - Batman Returns: Two-Disc Special Edition DVD Review - BATMAN.UGO.COM
Batman Returns is arguably the "deepest" movie of the first four and the closest to Burton's twisted visions.
Batman Returns wasn't quite as big a film as its predeccesor and neither is its DVD, largely because most of the origin material, how Burton and Keaton became involved, is covered on the first release of the Anthology.
UGO's Batman Hub is an unofficial fansite designed for devotees of Batman and is not affiliated with or licensed by DC Comics or Warner Bros. All logos and images used on this website are registered trademarks of their respective companies.

It is the second and final Batman film to be directed by Tim Burton and to star Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
However, the generally very negative critical and fan reaction to the Joel Schumacher films in the franchise, particularly 1997's Batman and Robin, sparked a critical re-evaluation of Tim Burton's dark, gloomy and expressionistic first sequel in the franchise and it is now considered a classic.
Batman Returns was released on VHS and Laserdisc in October 1992.

Being a fan of this type of game and liking the movie it was based on I decided to give this game a try and wasn't disappointed at all.
--Story-- The game follows the plot of the movie exactly, Gotham City is in trouble from the Pengium and Catwoman and Batman has to stop them (obviously this is *extremely* simplified, but if you want a better explanation you'll be better off looking at a movie review).
The first type is similar to Golden Axe, you control Batman and can move up/down/left/right and scroll right along the game world until you reach the end of the level (you may occasionally scroll left too, but the majority of the time you just move right).

Superman Returns: The Videogame - Video Game Review
Many game designers believe the first 15 minutes of a video game are the most critical.
Sure, it tells of Superman returning to Earth after confirming that his home world has been destroyed, and the game includes voice talent from Brandon Routh (Superman/Clark Kent) and Kevin Spacey (Lex Luthor), but this is where the similarity ends.
Superman is kidnapped early in the game and must fight robots and other enemies on another planet in a kind of televised gladiator match.

The only real problem with the Game Play is that in the regular game, the levels sometimes get repeatative, and the enemies, can become more of an annoyance than a threat..but that only happens every so often.
The two-player modes are the saving grace for this game, they are really the only thing you'll want to play after beating this game...I mean sure every so often you'll go back to play the regular game, but this isn't the type of game, that you'll run to whenever your bored.

It’s obvious that the developers of the Batman Begins video game wanted to replicate the look and feel of the movie as closely as possible.
Most of the major plot points and locations in the film are fodder for a handful of stealthy combat missions and a couple of driving missions.
In fairness, there's some change-up later in the game, but a little visual variety beyond what the movie gave it would have been refreshing.

MTV Movie News | New 'Batman Begins' Trailer Shows Superhero's Human Side
"Batman Begins" is the fifth (or the sixth, if we count last year's execrable "Catwoman") installment in the big-screen franchise, and all indications are that this entry will be as much a journey into Bruce Wayne/Batman's psyche and his tortured past as it will be a high-budget, blow-'em-up thriller.
Most significantly, though, the film will chronicle how Wayne became Batman in the first place, traveling the globe in search of the means to fight evildoers and protect the weak and innocent.
But don't despair: Judging by the look of the new Hummerified Batmobile, for instance, there will be plenty of high-octane mayhem to keep the thespians and the audience on their collective toes.

After the quality Tim Burton films, the series pretty much went down the toilet, beginning a horrifically campy age of 'Bat credit-cards' and an armored Arnold Schwarzenegger tossing cringe-worthy puns at a Batman who seemed to be trying not to be embarrassed by the fact that his costume had nipples.
