'Batman and Robin', though, is quite possibly the least-enjoyable super-flick ever made: and yes, I have seen Catwoman.
From the moment the dialogue opens with Robin (Chris O'Donnell) telling Batman "I want a car - chicks dig the car", until the stupendously ridiculous resolution, this flick is the filmic equivalent of a rollercoaster ride through a blocked sewer.
Of course, the 'Batman' logo will always be able to attract the big stars (as Christopher Nolan's name-dropping 2005 instalment proves) - but it would have been nice if this one had spent as much time getting its direction and screenplay right as it did courting the A-listers.

Most people going to "Batman and Robin" are looking for exactly what they get: lots of action, snappy comebacks, and expensive stunts.
The previous movies managed to have a decent balance of goofiness and reality, with some legitimate humor -- "The iceman cometh" and the approximately 75,000 lines just like it do not qualify as legitimate humor, I'm sorry to say.

They earn their places in the pantheon of Batman's enemies, but the screenplay doesn't do them justice: It meanders, and some of the big action sequences are so elaborate, they're hard to follow (examples: the one where Freeze's men play hockey with a diamond, and a completely pointless motorcycle chase).
The earlier Batman movies, especially the dark ``Batman Returns'' (1992), made a break with the camp TV classic and went for moodier tones.
