Due to high demand, the U.S. Mormon Battalion, Inc. has commissioned 500 additional collectable pins to be made based on the Ed Fraughton Sculpture.
President James K. Polk instructed the Secretary of War, William L. March to authorize Col. (later General) Stephen W. Kearney, Commander of the Army of the West, to enlist a battalion of 500 Mormons for this purpose.
The Mormon Battalion will be held in honorable remembrance to the latest generation; and I will prophesy that the children of those who have been in the army, in defense of their country, will grow up and bless their fathers for what they did at that time.

The classic Macintosh version of battalion runs on the G3s and the G4s (though you may have to give the app some more memory).This version also runs quite well under classic in OS-X. For Mac OS-X users, the carbon Macintosh version runs quite well on G4s and not so well on G3s.
