Kresna Gorge was a battle fought in the Second Balkan War between Greece and Bulgaria (July 29 - August 9, 1913).
The battle was fought over 20 km of a maze of forests and mountains with no conclusion until the Bulgarians were forced to put down their weapons when the Romanian army entered Sofia ending the war.
Among the dead of this battle were Major Georgios Kolokotronis of the historic family and Evzone Major Ioannis Velissariou who had participated in the liberation of Ioannina in the First Balkan War.

I have seen that the information about the Kilkis-Lahanas battle in Wiki is not consistently presented on the two pages dedicated to the Second Balkan War and the battle itself.
Of course,it is natural for everybody to see that during the second one,when allies have changed,friends have become foes,one should understand that going for the capital and actually taking it,it would be a definite strike for the greek army to defeat the bulgarian state.
