The Battle of Kulm was a battle of the Napoleonic Wars.
The battle was fought on August 30 1813 between French troops (44 000 men commanded by General Dominique Vandamme) and allied Austrian-Russian-Prussian forces commanded by Field-Marshal Barclay de Tolly.
After the battle Vandamme was accused by Tsar Alexander I of being a brigand and plunderer.

The battle was fought on August 30, 1813 between French troops (32 000 men commanded by General Dominique Vandamme) and allied Austrian-Russian-Prussian forces of 54,000 men commanded by Field-Marshal Barclay de Tolly.
Vandamme caught up with Alexander Ostermann-Tolstoy's forces near the town of Kulm (today Chlumec, 8 km N.W. of Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic).

By 3pm the Allied left flank was beaten and they struggled to disengage in the thick mud, by 4pm the Allies were retreating not only away from Dresden but back to the safety of Bohemia leaving behind 38,000 killed, captured or wounded.
General Dominique Vandammme tried to pursue the fleeing Allies but Napoleon failed to support him and he was cut off at the battle of Kulm two days later.

As mentioned by another reviewer, there is an outstanding order of battle which is very helpful given the number of leaders on hand for this conflict.
Written by an acknowledged authority on the Prussian and German armies of the period, it gives an authoritative viewpoint of the events and battles leading up to the largest battle of the Napoleonic Wars, the three day slugfest at Leipzig.
The narrative flows very well and is easy to follow, and it is packed with information, even though it had to follow the somewhat strict regimen of the Osprey guidelines.

I'd like to hear from a volunteer conversant with Struggle of Nations, willing to calculate the game-imposed attrition on the historical marches of all the corps up through the battle of Kulm (and on the northern front through Sept 6th).
That information will allow us to calculate actual strengths for the four battles, since we have data for August 15th.
Grossbeeren (23rd) can utilise the 15th data without distortion, but Macdonald must have suffered notable attrition before his battle on the 26th.
