Lars seems to have been sent with the first wave of soldiers, first to Sjaeland (Denmark) and then on to Pernau (Latvia) by the end of 1700, headed for the battle at Narva.
He has probably been sent away during summertime 1701 as replacement to a someone who died at the battle of Narva.
Lars is noted in the churchbooks 2/2 1700, and can not be found after that.
