The Battle of Radzymin was part of the Battle of Warsaw during the Polish-Bolshevik War.
The final Soviet assault on the Polish capital of Warsaw began on August 12 with an attack on the town of Radzymin, twenty-three kilometers east of Warsaw.
Radzymin was recaptured on the 15 August and this victory proved to be one of the turning points of the battle of Warsaw.

The "Kiev Expedition" started on April 25th, 1920 with the intention of beating Soviet troops on the Polish southern flank and establishing friendly government in the Ukraine.
After winning the battle in the South, Polish General Staff planned a speedy withdrawal of the 3rd Army and strengthening of the northern front where Pilsudski expected the main battle with the Red Army to take place.
Radzymin was taken on August 14th and Russians were able to see church spires in the city.

In May of 1920, the 1st Tank Battalion (1st and 2nd Companies) was stationed in Wilno (Vilno) and 2nd Tank Battalion (3rd and 4th Companies) in Kiev.

In 1920, the Polish Armed Forces broke the onslaught of invading Bolshevik hordes in what has come to be known as 'the Miracle of the Vistula'.
Although few veterans who actually took part in the 1920 Polish-Bolshevik war are still with us, the anniversary of that historic battle is celebrated by all military formations and veterans' organizations, scout groups, etc. as Polish Armed Forces Day.
An interesting re-enactment of the crucial battle of that campaign is held annually in Radzymin near Warsaw.

I wonder where were Soviet POW`s kept at during the war, as we know Polish forces before battle around Radzymin and "Vistula miracle" retreated rapidly, litterally dozens of camps could be liberated by Soviets.
Karpus says that the country was not ready for such a number of POWs and that is the cause of the increased mortality.
POWs were in Tuchola from the end of August, 1920 to the middle of September, 1921.

Despite the original condition that Haller's army be used exclusively against the Bolsheviks, it was immediately deployed on the anti-Ukrainian front.
I presume Brumowski, among other things, chose to live in Austria also because of his war pension, which was probably not meager copnsidering he was a holder of almost all major A-H decorations.
I'd like to post the complete UNR Field Army Order of Battle for the front sector associated with the imaginary Ukrainian "13th Division", since other researchers might find it useful, as the serious reforming and reinforcement process in winter 1918--1919 and spring 1919 brought many important changes into the OOB.
