The battle was a complete victory for Rooke: the forts were captured, Torbay broke through the boom, and all the Spanish and French ships were burned by their own side, run aground or captured.
British Saragossa coins of Naval battles of the War of the Spanish Succession bear the word VIGO to commemorate the battle.
This belief was incorporated into the plot of Overviews's novel edit, with Naval battles of the United Kingdom and his crew obtaining money by salvaging amongst the wrecks.

 Heinrich Himmler
He carried the Imperial German Battle Ensign in the Munich Putsch, the Party's failed attempt at a nationwide right-wing revolution.
Despite this failure and Hitler's subsequent prison sentence, Himmler was still a devout follower of Hitler, convinced that he was the messiah sent by God to lead Germany to greatness, and had the long term job of organising Nazi Party propaganda.
He delegated the task of administering this death to Himmler and Göring, who, along with Reinhard Heydrich, Kurt Daluege[?] and Walter Schellenberg[?], carried out the execution of Röhm and numerous other senior SA officials, in what became known as The Night of the Long Knives on June 30, 1934.

Schellenberg says that there are clear cases of persons possessing the relevant capacities who inculpably deny or are in doubt about whether God exists—for example, atheists and agnostics who are honest seekers of the truth.
