The Battle of Velasco was a 19th century battle between the Republic of Mexico and the rebelling Mexican state of Coahuila y Tejas.
The battle was fought 26 June 1832 between rebelling Texas colonists and Mexico prior to the Texas Revolution.
The casualties for the battle numbered at eight to ten dead and a dozen wounded for the Texans, and five killed and fifteen injured for the Mexicans.

Santa Anna was captured and signed the Treaties of Velasco, which gave Texas firm boundaries; Mexico repudiated the treaties, considered Texas a breakaway province, and vowed to reconquer it.
